and I enjoy spending time meeting patients and listening to their stories, trying to understand and solve their heart health problems. I have sub-specialty skills in Imaging with Cardiac CT and in Interventional Cardiology (doing angiograms and putting stents in arteries).

Treating heart problems

Answers to heart problems are found in the patient symptoms (story), examining the heartbeat and blood pressure, listening to the heart, doing tests such as ECG, stress test, Echocardiogram or Angiogram and then putting all these pieces together to make the diagnosis, design a management plan, treat the problem, and potentially reverse risk factors where possible.

This could involve stents, surgery, medications, lifestyle changes such as taking regular exercise, eating healthier with Mediterranean Diet, or spending more time with family and friends.

Every patient is different although many share very similar stories and risk factors, such as chronic stress, diabetes, menopause health, blood pressure, cholesterol, poor family history, smoking, poor eating habits, obesity, and poor sleep.
